Bill’s Corner – Lake Powell – 7-4-12

Great Season for Walleye on Lake Powell

For warm water walleye on Lake Powell, night and early nomrning fish will show up around submerged trees and broken rock in 25′ to 35′ of water.  Troll 1/4 ounes crayfish jig to 50′ behind the boat slowly as you grap the bottom for fish stayin around cover.  Cut the motor at first notice, open the bale and let our bait fall to to the bottom then work it slowely up and down back to the boat.  Walleye will only hold the bait when it is in warm water so set on any and all pressure.  It has been a great year this season for Walleye and nothing better in the ‘frying pan”.
