Once again Captain Bill McBurney has won the Best of Page Award in 2024 for Best Fishing Guide. This is his 7th time winning the award!
Best of Page is sponsored by the Page Lake Powell Chamber of Commerce, where local peers vote for their favorite in many categories. This year had 42 categories and the Best Fishing Guide was presented to Capt. Bill McBurney, who has won the award in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. This is the first one held since 2019 due to the global pandemic.
Why is fishing with Captain Bill McBurney so great? Captain Bill has been providing quality experiences for both novice and proficient anglers. He is US Coast Guard and AZ Game & Fish licensed, and holds a CUA Permit with Glen Canyon National Park Service. The Captain is the first licensed guide in the Glen Canyon National Park and is most at home when he is on the water. He is a great steward of the environment and carries this with him whenever he is on the Lake. When on the Lake, he always reflects what it represents to him and tries to share that with his clients.
Coming from a Ranching background Bill relates to people in a generous, quiet, reflective manner. He also has so much knowledge he can make the most inexperienced person look good and come away feeling like they really were successful.
