Current Lake Elevation: 3601.6

Water Temp:  80-81

Dear Anglers,

It’s all built on rumor of science, past experience of self and other and assuming and that leaves us with “HOPE” to a terrific top water fishing experience.  I am also stated that the other methods Lake Fly Fishing, Trolling, Sight Fishing and just maybe some schools will be taking bait.

Now what is needed to kick start all these possibilities is for the heat wave to get over with to let the 80-degree water to cool down.

The winter hold promising as well for fly fishing the shallows for the cruisers that run in from the deep to feed and for another challenge when the temps get colder still there is deep water jigging.

Lake Powell is a year-round fishing experience for all the varied fishing skills there are with some exceptions to hot water turn over during “hot summer”.

For now, I still recommend a 4-5-hour early charter, trolling for healthy fat fish and sometimes we will get to bait up and hold a school in deep water.  It is all up to the fish and the desire to enjoy the hunt and catch all the experience you can.

I have had some great anglers on board “young and older” and here are some great snapshots of just the last few weeks.

Book early for Fall as Judy said the calendar is filling up!

Tight Lines,

Capt. Bill
