Lake Powell Fishing Report August 5, 2012

Lake Powell Elevation:  3967.81

Water Temps:  85

The top water action is getting better and better daily and so is the chumming of anchovies.  This is going to be the best Fall Fishing in years for fish averaging 3-8 lbs. This is due to the increase in bait buildup over the last decade and the introduction gizzard shad.   Plus the opportunity for sume lunker encounters Lake Wide.  Best Canyon for fishing I recommend Last Chance and Navajo.

My last trip this past week with 5 anglers average 40′ fish per day.  They were out on Houseboat for 7 days.  They fish with me year after year and they said this was the best trip ever.

Anchovies producing the best of the best stripers.
