Lake Powell Fishing Report August 9, 2020

Kurt & Javier
Thanks for coming

Lake Powell Elevation: 3604.66
Water Temp: 80 degrees
There been a surge in habits to feeding that is really different. This year with the warmer water, early morning trolling on shaded points and long cliff walls has produced stripers in excess of 5 lbs with some lost lunkers thrown into the mix at times.
Also some guides are still catching fat fish on their secluded spots. on 40-70′ deep.
It is not impossible to catch a few on the fly rod as well if you know the key structures midstream in the deep channels. Look for lots of top water action after hot weather subsides this coming Fall. The nights are cooling to the variety to catching. Hit them early for that 5 hours window at best.
Here are some great photos of some of my guests recently. Thank you for fishing with Ambassador Guides and hope to see you soon
