Laura McBurney (My Mom) celebrated her 102nd. Birthday with us last weekend and she wanted to go fishing.  This is her fish she caught.  Just remember?  You are never too old to fish.

Lake Powell Elevation:  3609.23
Water Temp: 74-78

Dear Anglers,

What’s new here is already old news but I will repeat it again as this business in guiding is parallel to farming as far as the weather goes.   We lost about 40% of Spring due to a long lasting winter that wouldn’t let go with cold winds at night and only a few good days to any week.  Then through some mechanicals from some very independent mechanics  with mood swings and there you have my Spring! Lol.

Fishing has been very good and I recommend 1/2 day charters for now till Fall due to the heat and summer traffic as it is extremely business out there on the Pond.

My new “used” 24′ Tritoon is roomy and can cruise 26-30 mph and you are not beat up at the end of your trip like with other boats.  I am enjoying it a lot.

Fishing are fat mostly and we hope the Fall top water bite comes on strong as there is a lot of  bait fish out there but we will keep our fingers crossed till then.

Stripers are still being caught on bait fish and if keeping fish customers are definitely going home with an ice chest full. The Park Service closed the fishing cleaning station on Memorial Day.but has now reopened which is good news.

There are 2 new hotels opening in late June early July:  One is the Hampton Inn right behind Day’s Inn and owned by the same owners as Day’s Inn so Judy will look into a deal like we have with Day’s Inn and then on Lake Powell Blvd. up from Comfort Inn and new La Quinta is opening up as well.  As soon as we have info we will post on our website.  A new restaurant by Twist Thompson (owner of Blue Buddha and Blue) and Adam Cranston called State 48 opening up down past Boston True Value.  A wide variety of sandwiches, sliders and entrees.  Give it a try if you are here.

Father’s Day is next week and we are offering a 10% discount if you purchase a Gift Certificate good for 1 year for either 1/2 day or full day.  All Gift Certificates are paid in full at time of purchase.  Give your angler a Memory for Father’s Day a trip on Lake Powell.

Here is a taste of some of the most recent catches and you can see more on our website:   ambassadorguides.com/lake-powell-catches-2016-with-ambassador-guides-outfitters.
